CareLift Equipment has been engineering and building excellent rough terrain forklifts since the year 1962. Every day the company strives to deliver value and help their customers reach their objectives since they know the bottom line is dependability and performance.
There are 2 general types of boom lifts. These models are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Often, these units are powered hydraulically. Most often straight booms are the great option for jobs that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the equipment can rotate 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom could be vertically raised to below horizontal. As the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machinery. These models are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically identical to the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the boom's ability to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work site.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers in order to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is fully extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is required before operating boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.
The boom lift allows for tasks needing a lot of man power to be carried out in a lot less time. These machines have really increased productivity and have changed the material handling business.
