Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
The audible devices such as back-up alarms or motion alarms produce sound that needs to be loud enough to be heard above the noise that the forklift generates in the operating area.
The sound produced by the audio device must be discernible from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound must also be different from the other noise or audible devices in the work place. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; therefore, care must be taken.
Hearing protection makes it harder to hear the audible device and to determine what direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices can sometimes get deactivated from both operators and employees because they can find them really annoying. Furthermore, audible devices may also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They use tempered glass in order to avoid injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every specific use, the operator can choose the performance need. What's more, it enables a supervisor to set the model's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and reduce the unit's utmost performance enables a new operator to learn the operating characteristics of the machinery in a controlled setting.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the unit and when this happens, it requires a supervisor to re-enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be certain to manage the machine in a more controlled manner.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing their tail swing area, and operating space behind the vehicle.
