Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex provides Bi-Energy and Genie DC machinery which are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial environments where the equipment needs to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the advantages and flexibility of a diesel powered generator with a 48 Volt DC machine.
Some of the key characteristics provided by this combination include up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. As well, the zero tail-swing offered by most units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The drive and proportional controls provide the machinery with smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models available to function with an additional working range for specific tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie machinery by Terex are ideal for both outdoor and indoor construction applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine out, over and up positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this particular type is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine machines on nearly all modes have an articulating boom which offers zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machinery are ideal in small or narrow places. Moreover, they provide utmost power, exceptional torque and terrain and grade maneuverability. The diesel engines are generally quiet also. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on surfaces which are rough and uneven.
High ground clearance is offered in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom kinds are available and provide added range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
