Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the individual using it to maintain a high degree of control while raising the cargo to great heights. Regular lift trucks can not move the load towards and away from the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is normally utilized in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is required.
A forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended in cases requiring high volume carton handling. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It comes with a backrest which protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't use pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This type of system is handy for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A lift platform that is meant to lift staff is called a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the personnel from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are used for fastening the worker's safety harness.
